Hancock Park Real Estate

Hancock Park

Purchased by Major George Allan Hancock in 1863 and developed in the 1920s, Hancock Park is a residential neighborhood that has kept it’s Old Hollywood charm while welcoming the ever-diversifying population that makes New Los Angeles thrive. Hancock Park continues to be one of the most desirable addresses in L.A. thanks to its tireless neighborhood association, access to tremendous public and private schools and wonderful shopping and dining in nearby Larchmont Village. Here you’ll find classic Tudor, Spanish Colonial and Colonial Revival houses set 50 feet back from the street (as Major Hancock insisted) on large well-maintained lots (including the classic Meditteranean-Style manse designed by Walter Neff, which hosted Prince William and Kate Middleton on their recent visit). Formerly home to Howard Hughes, Mae West and Nat King Cole, today Hancock Park maintains its status as one of Los Angeles’ most desirable residential neighborhoods.
