Windsor Square Real Estate

Windsor Square

Original advertisements for Windsor Square claimed “(it) will never have a counterpoint in all of Southern California”. Sometimes there is truth in advertising. The meandering streets and wide parkways of Windsor Square showcase beautiful Craftsman and Beaux Arts homes that have been lovingly-maintained due to resident’s pride-of-ownership. R.A. Rowan & Company spared no expense when they planned Windsor Square and you can seek shade under the stately elms and sycamore trees they planted or be lit by the ornate electric street lights (with their distinctive W.S. engraving) that helped this neighborhood stand out when it began in 1911. Today, as Los Angeles has grown up around Windsor Square, it is still only 15 minutes to downtown and 25 to the beach.  Often mistakenly included as part of Hancock Park, Windsor Square is actually a specifically designed and designated neighborhood with it’s own homeowner’s association. Its centerpiece is the quaint and friendly shopping district of Larchmont Village. All this plus access to a wide variety of exceptional public and private schools and beautiful Robert L. Burns park continue to make Rowan’s development a thriving neighborhood.
